Announcement: live annual New Year's HoMM3 festival will be organized near St-Petersburg (Russia) by Russian HoMM3 community on January 3 - 7, 2009. All WCL players are welcome to the event
10-15 strong Russian and Byelorussian players are expected to attend this festival including WIC, Napalm, MatrosOFF, AlexTheGreat, DC_Vasya
Details:
Dates: January 3 - 7, 2009. Players will gather on January 3 and will move to motel
Place: motel near Saint-Petersburg www.rosson.ru
Events:
- live HoMM3 tournament (several days)
- poker and other card games
- football
- sauna
Participation: around $70, to be finalized
Motel cost: $30/day including meal
PRIZE FUND will consist of participants' fees and possible contributions from sponsors
Fund will be split as following:
1 place - 50%
2 place - 30%
3 place - 20%
Tournament scheme: the Swiss type: 5 - 7 rounds, depending on number of participants. Some small bonus (1 point) will be granted to those games where player will make good and interesting description of the game.
Victory - 3 points (with description), without description - 2 points,
Defeat 1 point (with description), without description - 0 points
Drawn game 2 points (with description), without description - 1 point
The best stories will be awarded.
Rules: game version - TE-light (SOD with TE buttons), other rules to follow
Maps:
- random templates 2sm4d(3) and 8mm6 for random-map players
- fixed maps LOM and Immortal for fixed-map players
Foreign visitors are recommended to spend couple of days for visiting of museums and theatres St.-Petersburg.
